Misson Possible 5K.png

Mission: Possible is a self-timed fun run/walk at Bluff Point State Park. The full loop is ~3.5 miles of gravel path but feel free to turn around at any point to make it as long or as short as you would like! Since Bluff Point is designated a "Coastal Reserve”, to minimize our environmental impact we will not provide water on the course. Water bottles will be available at the start and we ask that you carry out what you carry in.

Composting toilets are located at the entrance of the park and about halfway around the course.
We encourage all participants to invite family and friends to sponsor your run/walk by making a donation to Legacy!

Sponsorships can be made here. All funds raised will help launch Legacy this summer 2024 to serve women healing from addictive lifestyles.

  • What does a day at Legacy look like for residents?
Women can expect a holistic approach to healing designed to renew spirit, body, and mind. The daily/weekly program schedule includes group lessons, small group discussions, individual Biblical counseling, plus time for personal Bible study and prayer. Residents share responsibility for meal preparation and the care of the home and grounds. They enjoy family-style meals and time for nourishing hobbies such as music, art, writing, exercise, gardening, needlework, and more. Schooling is also an important part of Legacy’s services. GED programs, continuing education, and workforce readiness initiatives are offered. Residents can pursue a degree, certification, or training to use upon their graduation from Legacy. The goal each day is to provide a long-term recovery program in a family-like setting, allowing women to pursue restored relationships with God, self, and others.
  • I'm affiliated with a local Bible-believing church. How can we partner with Legacy?
We are deeply grateful for each church that upholds this ministry through prayer, volunteerism, and financial giving. Legacy is God’s work and our success relies on the support of God’s people. To arrange for your church leadership to learn more about Legacy, email the Board of Directors at info@legacyforwomen.org.
  • Who can I contact about my giving?
For questions about your giving contact our board treasurer, Rebecca DeYoung, at rebecca@legacyforwomen.org. She'll be happy to assist you.
  • Why is a program like this necessary?
Addiction. Trauma. Abuse. Recidivism. Women struggling with destructive life issues need a place to heal. For too many families, the situation is desperate and the options are few. Sadly, across Connecticut, these women encounter a disheartening cycle with little sense of hope. Few options are residential, fewer are faith-based, and still fewer serve women. Legacy is a 12-month residential recovery home for women, featuring a Bible-based program focused on transformation. In this supportive environment, women can overcome their personal challenges and find restoration and healing in Jesus.
  • Are strollers allowed?
Yes. The trail is unpaved and slightly uneven though so please keep that in mind when deciding what stroller to bring.
  • Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed and must be leashed at all times. Please bring your own bags and carry out any pet waste. Dogs are not allowed on the beach and must stay on the trails.
  • How can I register?
You can register using the button located above or you can click here!
  • I can't attend the event. Can I still donate to Legacy?
Yes! You can donate online here!
  • How much is parking?
Vehicles with Connecticut registrations can park free of charge. Vehicles with out-of-state registrations must pay a $15 parking fee, payable online at www.reserveamerica.com.
