Launching Legacy:
Change her Story
Our Goal
LEGACY is set to launch a Christ-centered 12-month residential recovery program in 2024 to serve up to six women struggling with addictive lifestyles. In the coming years, the program will expand to accommodate and support 12 women. The Capital Campaign to raise $200,000 is pivotal for sustaining a full year of operational costs. These expenses will cover essential components such as a Bible-based recovery curriculum, secure housing, and a trained staff dedicated to serving Legacy's residents.
CURRENT GIVING: $158,955

What does a day at Legacy look like for residents?Women can expect a holistic approach to healing designed to renew spirit, body, and mind. The daily/weekly program schedule includes group lessons, small group discussions, individual Biblical counseling, plus time for personal Bible study and prayer. Residents share responsibility for meal preparation and the care of the home and grounds. They enjoy family-style meals and time for nourishing hobbies such as music, art, writing, exercise, gardening, needlework, and more. Schooling is also an important part of Legacy’s services. GED programs, continuing education, and workforce readiness initiatives are offered. Residents can pursue a degree, certification, or training to use upon their graduation from Legacy. The goal each day is to provide a long-term recovery program in a family-like setting, allowing women to pursue restored relationships with God, self, and others.

Why is a program like this necessary?Addiction. Trauma. Abuse. Recidivism. Women struggling with destructive life issues need a place to heal. For too many families, the situation is desperate and the options are few. Sadly, across Connecticut, these women encounter a disheartening cycle with little sense of hope. Few options are residential, fewer are faith-based, and still fewer serve women. Legacy is a 12-month residential recovery home for women, featuring a Bible-based program focused on transformation. In this supportive environment, women can overcome their personal challenges and find restoration and healing in Jesus.
